Edward G. Livingston graduated with a degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon. In 1966, he started Archotypo, a furniture design studio, where he designed and built custom wooden furniture. He exhibited his work in California, Oregon, and Washington with fellow artists Don Shoemaker, Wendell Castle, and Sam Maloof.
